Capacity Strengthening and Local Solutions

Lasting change comes from within communities

We strengthen the capacity of women’s groups, youth, health workers, and local organizations to design and lead their own solutions.

Example – Training Midwives in Respectful Maternity Care (RMC):
Midwives are often the first and most trusted point of care for women during pregnancy and childbirth. Yet many work under enormous pressure, with little support. Through our RMC programs, we equip midwives and frontline providers not only with technical training, but also with the tools to treat women and families with dignity, compassion, and respect. This shift builds trust, encourages more women to seek skilled care, and strengthens the relationship between communities and health facilities. Midwives, when empowered, become champions for both safe births and respectful care.
