White Ribbon Alliance Kenya will be represented at the Opportunity Collaboration 2025
(OC2025) in Portugal by our Founder and Executive Director, Angela Nguku, who will be
holding space for a different kind of leadership; one grounded in listening first.
At White Ribbon Alliance Kenya, we often hear the familiar phrase: “We already know what communities need.”
But do we, really?
Our work has shown, time and again, that women and communities are the true experts of their own lives. Real change begins when we ASK-LISTEN-ACT, based on what they say
not on what we assume.
At OC2025, Angela will be inviting fellow changemakers to join us in our approach:
To respond to self-articulated needs, not pre-written solutions
This is the heart of our ASK-LISTEN-ACT Power Approach; our way of working that
centres the voices and priorities of women, girls and communities to make health systems more responsive, respectful, and rooted in lived experience.
OC2025 offers a moment to unlearn, to re-ground and to commit again to change that starts with the real experts
